Where are you?
New Hope Language Centre resides in
Limbang, Sarawak. Malaysia. (Borneo.)
Do you conduct Internet tuition?
Not at the moment but we will resume this
practice in the near future.
How much do you charge?
Students who visit the centre pay on average, a
mere RM50.00 (maximum) per month (adult classes
begin at RM65.00 per month) and we see no reason to
charge anyone else more regardless to the country
in which you reside.
Are you ESL qualified?
Chris is TESOL, TEFL and TESL qualified in ESP and ESL. He also holds certification awarded by the South Australian Dept of Education for ESL in Mainstream Education and offers advice to all staff (also TESOL qualified) in all
situations. Students are more than welcome to ask for advice.
What will I be expected to know?
You will be expected to know the basics. Some
reading and writing and a little speech wouldn't be
bad for you either. As long as we can communicate
we'll get along fine.
How secure is my money when I pay
you?
At the moment, we're only accepting students on
site, however, we will be re-introducing lesson on
line soon. When we do, you can pay by credit card
securely via PartyKey.
Distance Learners.
We are not presently accepting distance learners
but hope to do so again in the near future.

Who owns NHLC?
NHLC is the brain-child of Chris Critchlow.
Chris (ESL qualified and world astrologer/tarot
reader) is the owner and chief of the centre.
Do you have any other classes?
Yes. Beginning September 2004, I will be
conducting HTML courses (in English) for anyone who
is interested. Please call in to the centre to
discuss this further. Next year, and in conjunction
with the computer literacy teachers at our local
schools, I will be conducting Visual Basic classes
for form 4 and 5 students.
Intermediate Tuition
We accept that not all students grasp English as
quickly or as easily as others do. We will teach
you according to your standard yet we need students
to have a basic understanding of English before we
begin.

appointment only please.
Do you offer recognised
accreditation?
I have finally been able to get the University
Cambridge exams in place and we now offer
certification programs for the following
groups.
YLE, PET, KET and FCE.
